Kimberly does not just address the charge but considers the impact of the disposition on the client’s current situation and their future. Specialized Courts

Several specialized courts, such as Mental Health Treatment Court, Drug Treatment Court, DWI Court, Veterans’ Court, and Sex Traffic Court, are available to holistically address the whole client, not just the charge. Kimberly assesses each case for eligibility in these courts to best suit her client’s needs given the surrounding circumstances.. She works diligently to have charges dismissed or reduced. Kimberly is not an attorney who will just plea out your case; she fights for you from beginning to end to ensure justice is served.

Appeals

Kimberly understands that many clients do not always receive a positive outcome at the trial level or during plea and/or sentencing. There are several ways to attack a conviction through the appellate process to ensure your constitutional rights were not violated, that there were no trial errors made during the course of your trial and that no new evidence is available and was not heard. Appellate law is different than trial law. An appellate attorney must have critical thinking and writing skills to effectively prepare the brief and properly identify key legal issues for an individual case. Those key issues must be extensively researched and up-to-the minute on any new caselaw which may affect the Appellant’s position. This brief must be meticulously written and executed during oral arguments to an appellate court in a persuasive manner in order to be successful. Kimberly will review your case and carefully read the trial transcript to ensure any and all appellable issues are put forth to strengthen the appellants argument and chance for success.
